Venturii is going to be featured at the Metal Minds booth in this year’s Maker Faire at Telus Spark! I am very excited to be able to show off what we’ve created so far, and hopefully we can generate some interest in the idea, maybe even get some more testers and contributors to the project! We’ll be demonstrating some of the integration possibilities between various off the shelf products and devices people can make on their own. Venturii’s modular system allows virtually unlimited integration between both disparate and similar systems in mutually beneficial ways. With only one booth and practically no time to prepare, I know we won’t be able to fit everything in, but here are some of the things we are currently doing with Venturii:
- Energy Consumption Monitoring:
- Water
- Gas
- Electricity
- Environmental monitoring:
- Temperature
- Relative Humidity
- Light levels
- Soil Moisture Levels
- Water Presence / Levels
- Controlling Things:
- Lights
- Appliances
- HVAC Equipment (Furnaces, Air Conditioners, Etc.)
- Fans
- Dampers
- Electric Locks
- Underground Sprinklers
- Electric Valves
- Strobes and Sirens
In addition to the hardware side where we are receiving data from and controlling devices, we have also taken great strides on our Web Interface, allowing virtual interaction with anything Venturii touches, along with a whole range of reporting and graphing engines, making the information collected both accessible and useful.
I hope to see you there!
